Scientology Volunteer Ministers Bring Their Yellow Tent to Bologna
Bologna's Piazza Lucio Dalla is hosting the travelling yellow tent of the Volunteer Ministers of Scientology, as part of a travelling programme visiting Italian cities.
Approximately 100 guests were present for the opening, including representatives of communities assisted by Volunteer Ministers after natural disasters.
Among them was Pianoro Mayor Luca Vecchiettini, who spoke about the relationship established with the volunteers after severe flooding in 2024. Restaurateur Fabrizio Lazzarini also spoke emotionally about the assistance received when his restaurant was affected by mud and water.
Andrea Ferrarini, formerly involved with civil protection in Bondeno, also remembered assistance provided after the 2012 earthquakes.
Founded by L. Ron Hubbard in 1976, the programme offers practical tools for communication, relationships and problem-solving alongside humanitarian response.
Inside the Bologna tent, visitors can explore photographic exhibits and information about the programme while learning about communication, relationships, study, work and family life.
Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, described the Bologna initiative as an expression of European values of solidarity, human dignity Scientology and community responsibility.
The Bologna exhibition highlights a programme that operates both in times of disaster and in everyday community life.
